Today’s card is inspired by the Just Add Ink #523 Alphabet Challenge “Just Add A”. I used four “A” elements; an Arachnid (spider), an Animal (bat) and one of the background colors is Granny Apple Green. I also intentionally added the large masked moon and water splatters to create a starry Astronomical background.
UPDATE: My card was selected as an Honorable Mention! ☺️ Much thanks to the Design Team at Just Add Ink!

Additional inspiration came from Elaine’s Creations’ 9/17 Free Zoom Class where she teaches the mirrored stamping technique using a silicone mat. I had been wanting to try this technique and finally gave it a whirl.
I used scrap paper and post it notes to mask off the background for ink blending using Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Basic Gray, Gray Granite.

The tree is from the Life is Beautiful stamp set, and most other elements are from the Hallows Night Magic suite. Bats, Spider, Sentiment, Mesh Ribbon, Embossing folder. I used Versamark ink and Black embossing powder for the trees/spider to help them stand out on the background.
There were a couple lessons learned on the very first card I made... like I prefer the moon to be on the side with the original stamped image (not the mirrored) it’s a little more crisp, and the spider looks better when heat embossed to stand out more on the background; and while I love the mesh ribbon, it covered up some of the beautiful colors in the background... so I opted to not use it on the second card.
