Today's card was created for our stamp club/team monthly swap for April. The new Stampin' Up In Colors were just released to demonstrators - so I decided to use them all on this mini slimline card.
The slimline style card was inspired by the #TGIFC311 Sketch Challenge. I used all 5 of the new 2021-2023 In Colors, because I'm in-between homes at the moment and they were the few ink colors I brought with me. Same for my choice of stamp; all I packed were the Wrapped Bouquet and Butterfly Brilliance sets. Dimensions for this finished card are 3" x 6".
Card Assembly Overview:
Stamp the flower bouquet with Black Staz-On ink
Use an Aqua Painters to watercolor the flowers
Use an Aqua Painter to tap and add some colorful splatter to the background (Basic White Cardstock 2 7/8" x 5 7/8")
Use Blending Brushes or other blending tools to create the sentiment strip background (Basic White Cardstock 2 7/8" x 1/2" strip)
Stamp the sentiment with Memento Black ink
Coordinating dies and mini dimensionals were used to cut the stamped bouquet and to add extra foliage
Note: The background went through some trial and error, I tried ink blending, water coloring and then ink splattering and decided I like the splattered look the best.
