This will be a short post to showcase a card I made for 3 purposes. Our Eclectic Stampers Stampin' Up monthly card swap ("birthday" theme) was quickly approaching - and I was hitting a complete creative block. I visited some of my frequented craft/card challenge blogs and found two that inspired me.
As a reminder if your social media feed is returning to ‘normal’, then you should probably make some modifications to your feed... As we approach ‘normal’ evaluate whether you’re in it for the moment or for the movement. If you're interested to learn more about anti-racism but don't know where to start check out @wastefreemarie on Instagram. This movement is for the betterment of humanity, not only for BlackLivesMatter.
The first challenge that inspired me was #TGIFC271 Color Challenge - Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody.
For Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody, I used pigment sprinkles and water to create colored cardstock for the Sunflower and leaves/sprigs. For the Flirty Flamingo, I used the water painters. I used the Stamparatus and sponge daubers to stamp the sentiment with all three colors and finished it off with versa mark ink and clear embossing powder.
The second challenge that inspired me was Freshly Made Sketches #442 - A Sketch by Jacquie . This card was finished a couple days ago, but I missed sharing my finished project by the due date.
I used the Tasteful Labels die set and the Scripty 3D embossing folder for the bottom and top layers. The detailed sunflower is from the Sunflower die set. The sentiment is from All Things Fabulous.
