After being a Stampin’ Up fan since 2006, I just turned the page into a new chapter of my crafting journey. I am one of the newest Stampin’ Up Demonstrators!! And really it was all thanks to my inspirational upline demonstrator Elaine Schader. elainescreations.net

Enough of the news and on to the card-making. For our monthly card swap I created a friendship card using Butterfly Wishes, and colors Peak-a-boo Peach and Petal Pink. Keep scrolling for card assembly instructions.
I'm also entering this card into the SUO Challenge 247: Embossing.
Card Assembly Instructions
Peakaboo Peach Cardstock (8.5" X 5.5”) scored in half and folded to make the card base (5.5" X 4.25").
Basic Black Cardstock cut to 5.25" X 4” is adhered to the front of the card base using Snail Adhesive.
Peakaboo Peach Cardstock 5" X 3.75" dry embossed using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder at a diagonal and adhered to the front of the card base.
Basic Black Cardstock cut to 2.25" X 3.75”.
Whisper White Cardstock cut to 2" x 3.5” and stamped with the Butterfly Wishes Cling Stamp Set in the Black and Petal Pink ink.
Adhere the stamped white cardstock to the small black cardstock piece, laying down the layers askew before adhering it to the card front to get your ideal diagonal positioning.
Use an Aqua Painter and Petal Pink ink to add some dot details around the stamped floral branch.
Stamp the larger butterfly with black ink on scraps of whisper white cardstock and cut it out easily by using the Butterfly Duet Punch. Tip: Hold the punch upside down so you can line up the punch with the stamped image for a perfect cut every time.
Use the Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Markers Combo Pack to color in the larger butterfly, I left the outer dots of the wings uncolored.
Then shape the butterfly wings using only your fingers and adhere to the card front using mini glue dots. Check out the video showing how I shaped the butterflies at the end of this post.
I opted to not add an additional layer to the inside of the card, since there were already so many layers on the front of the card.
