Today’s post is showcasing a card I created for a Stampin’ Up team member recovering from surgery. My inspiration for the sketch came from the Just Add Ink #522 challenge, the color scheme came from a couple different Instagram Card Artists using shades of brown for floral cards, and I chose the Blossoms in Bloom bundle because I purchased it a month ago and hadn’t used it yet!!

Back in May, I wrote a post about creating a letterpress-style card using dies, magnetic sheets, and cardstock. Today, I decided to use the same concept to create an embossed look with the dies and magnetic sheets. I layered both of the large floral cut outs from the Many Layered Blossoms die set; see the image below. The magnetic sheets are adhered to a 5" x 7" piece of cardstock that can be reused like an embossing folder.

I used ink spots and sponge daubers to color the large blossoms stamp in Sahara Sand and Gray Granite. Once I stamped and adhered a white die cut outline of the blossoms, I trimmed the finished piece down into the three rectangles and layered them onto Crumb Cake cardstock. The sentiment, from the same set, was heat embossed in white.

Thanks so much Mary!!! This stamp/die set is really beautiful - I'm glad my embossing attempt worked the way I had envisioned/hoped!
Wow Chay, you've outdone yourself again with this beautiful card, I love it and see myself CASE'ng it in the future. Thank you for sharing!
